Job Title: Summer Event Staff

Department: Programming

Reports To: Summer Events Supervisor/Programs Manager

Rate of Pay: $16.50/hour

Shift: Shifts are from 5:30pm -11:00pm.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Summary:

Create a sense of arrival for the Sundance Summer Theatre, Bluebird Cafe Concerts, and other resort programming events ensuring a positive experience through exceptional guest service. Event dates for the Bluebird Cafe Concerts are: July 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, August 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th. Event dates for the Summer Theatre are: July 18th-August 10th, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings plus two preview nights. Other event dates may be added.

 

Event Dates*

Bluebird Cafe: June 20, 21, 27, 28, July 11, 12, August 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30

Summer Theatre: July 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 28, 31, August 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9

Bluebird Bands: August 28

Staff Training: TBA (likely the 3rd week of June)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure venues, trailer ride, and vehicles are clean and ready for guests.
  • Warmly greet guests at the start and thank guests at conclusion of events.
  • Provide guests with directions to seating, concessions or restaurants, and facilities.
  • Accurately answer questions regarding the event and other Resort information.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of guests from the truck pulled trailer ride.
  • Check or scan tickets prior to admitting guests in the venue.
  • Resolve or communicate any ticketing errors or issues.
  • Clean up the venue before, during and after events.
  • Enforce venue policies and procedures.
  • Assist guests with recycling as needed.
  • Share the Sundance story of environmental commitment and land preservation with guests as the opportunity arises.
