Job Title: OWL BAR BARTENDER

Rate of Pay: $8.00/hour + tips

Shift: Variable shifts, Monday – Sunday

Part-Time

WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS REQUIRED

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, engaging with them to understand their preferences and make drink recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar equipment, glassware, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with beverage and health regulations, including responsible alcohol service and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to fulfill guest orders promptly and accurately.
  • Enter orders into the point of sale system, process payments, and manage cash transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and beverage trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, multitask, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
