The Server plays a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences by efficiently taking orders, serving food and beverages, and creating a welcoming environment. This position is central to the success of the restaurant and supports both guest satisfaction and operational excellence during the busy seasonal period.
Welcome guests promptly and courteously.
Escort guests to assigned tables and assist with seating as needed.
Present menus and provide descriptions of specials or featured items.
Accurately take food and beverage orders.
Answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Provide recommendations and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Serve food and drinks in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure accuracy of orders and proper presentation.
Monitor guest tables to anticipate needs, refill drinks, and clear empty plates.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their meal.
Address guest requests, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally.
Handle dietary restrictions or special accommodations respectfully.
Present checks and process payments accurately.
Handle cash, credit card, and mobile transactions securely.
Return change or receipts efficiently.
Clear and reset tables efficiently for the next guests.
Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and service stations.
Support opening, side work, and closing duties.
Communicate and coordinate with kitchen staff, food runners, and bartenders.
Support fellow team members during peak service times.
Assist with restocking, polishing silverware, and maintaining supplies.
Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols.
Maintain a neat appearance and wear appropriate uniform.
Adhere to all hotel and restaurant policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
Friendly, professional demeanor.
Previous server experience preferred but not required.
Must have open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays during the seasonal period (July-October).
