Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of production and manufacturing equipment, as well as general facilities maintenance for both corporate and production environments. This role ensures the reliable operation of machinery, systems, and infrastructure to minimize downtime and maintain a safe, efficient workplace.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment (e.g., conveyors, compressors, motors).
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issues and perform corrective repairs.
  • Install, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery and automated systems.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities.
  • Electrical knowledge, understanding electrical systems and components, including reading electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Mechanical knowledge, understanding mechanical systems and components, including reading blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Repair, making necessary repairs to equipment and systems, including using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

 

Facilities Maintenance:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
  • Support the upkeep of facility grounds, including minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Ensure that facilities meet OSHA and company safety standards.

Administrative and Compliance Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and parts ordered.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and emergency response drills.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance processes or equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in equipment and facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various physical environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces).

 

Working Conditions:

  • Split between production floor and office facility environments.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance.
  • Will be working in an FDA/NSF facility and will be required to follow all appropriate zoning zones, hair/beard nets and smocks when in zoning areas.
