About being our Project Surveyor

As our Project Surveyor, you will manage Field and Office staff and oversee all phases of project assignments including Transportation Design, Right of Way Engineering and Mapping, design surveys, construction, ALTA Surveys, topographic mapping, boundary resolution, Records of Survey, and GPS control surveys. This may include construction support and knowledge of field equipment and field needs.

Day to day work may include using various databases to process field data, performing survey calculations, analysis, and field support calculations, and at times using a drone to complete aerial mapping, site inspection, and environmental monitoring. Our survey team works on a variety of jobs including roadways, airfields, and our ideal candidate will be willing to grow and mentor others, build positive relationships with internal and external clients, and partner with coworkers and other disciplines in the company.

Responsibility Highlights for our Project Surveyor

• Organize and coordinate projects which include a broad range of assignments requiring knowledge of surveying/mapping
• Maintain and manage Field Survey Data systems together with local and wide network operating systems
• Complete technical mapping and final drawings for agency submittals and specifications for approval
• Research and analyze title reports, ROW documents, ALTA's, topography, and mapping

Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Surveyor

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor
• 10+ years' experience in all phases of surveying including public mapping experience (record of survey maps, legal description, and exhibits, etc.)
• Proficient in industry standard software and management tools
• Knowledge of public agency codes, processes, and requirements

Preferred Qualifications to be our Project Surveyor

• Remote Pilot License
• 2+ years' experience in surveying with drones

• A competitive salary! The genuinely expected range for this position is $42.50 - $56.61 per hour depending on experience; Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
