Life as a Group Sales Manager:

  • Leads and manages all aspects of the group sales function, driving revenue and supporting overall property success
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-term, value-based relationships with clients and partners
  • Develops and executes strategic sales and marketing plans focused on revenue growth, demand generation, and target markets
  • Identifies new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts
  • Manages the full sales cycle, including prospecting, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and client communication
  • Ensures seamless execution of booked business by collaborating with internal teams and supporting operational needs
  • Partners with the General Manager on sales calls, presentations, and client meetings to secure and close business
  • Represents the property with professionalism, effectively communicating its value and unique offerings
  • Analyzes market trends, competitor activity, and performance data using sales systems to inform strategy
  • Adapts and implements strategies to meet or exceed financial and revenue goals
  • Delivers exceptional service throughout the client journey, creating memorable experiences that drive repeat business

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business or related field; 4-6 years of related experience may substitute for a college diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of hotel Sales Experience, preferably in a major brand
  • Proven track record in sales and leading teams
  • Analytical skills with knowledge of hospitality trends and tools
  • Strong proficiency in communication and public speaking
  • Must possess strategic account management, closing, and negotiating skills
