Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District is seeking a detail-oriented individual to assist with GIS, asset management, and data quality efforts within the Digital Solutions Group.

Job Summary: Excellent learning opportunity for individuals interested in GIS, asset management, data analytics, engineering support, or public-sector information systems. As a part-time, temporary GIS & Asset Data Support Technician, you will assist staff with data entry, data validation, and documentation efforts related to the District's GIS and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
This role supports the accuracy, consistency, and usability of asset data across multiple systems and contributes to the development of asset management standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supporting documentation.

Job Duties: This position includes a mix of office-based technical work and collaboration with internal staff. Primary responsibilities include:
• Entering, updating, and validating asset data within the District's GIS and CMMS systems
• Reviewing asset records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency across systems
• Assisting with cleanup and standardization of asset attributes, naming conventions, and classifications
• Supporting data quality checks and basic audits of asset inventories
• Assisting with the creation and updating of asset management documentation, SOPs, and data standards
• Organizing and maintaining digital records, reference files, and documentation repositories
• Following established procedures and checklists to ensure data integrity
• Assisting with related GIS, asset management, or data support tasks as assigned

Work is primarily office-based and computer-focused. Training will be provided for District-specific systems and processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer proficiency in a Windows environment
• Experience using spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to follow written procedures and document processes
• Good written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
• Experience with data validation, quality control, or documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
• College coursework in GIS, engineering, environmental science, information systems, data analytics, or a related field
• Familiarity with GIS software or asset management systems (coursework or exposure acceptable)
• Interest in GIS, asset management, or public infrastructure systems

Wage: $18-$22 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-time position, up to 20 hours per week. Work schedule is flexible during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

Background Check: A pre-employment/post-offer drug screen and physical examination are required, along with a driver's license record review.
