Rate of Pay: $2.13/Hour + Tips
Shift: 4:00 PM to close
Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.
SUMMARY
Leading a service team to create a memorable fine dining experience for the guest by exhibiting remarkable personal skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and professional environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warmly greets each Tree Room guest.
Possesses exceptional guest service skills to create a positive Sundance Experience for each guest.
Set up and organize dining room for restaurant reservations.
To ensure proper sequence of service is completed for all guests.
Responsible for the mise en place and cleanliness of own section.
Responsible for the handling of all monetary transactions and completing a nightly check out.
Exhibits exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guest with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information.
Exhibits self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
Enters food and beverage orders into micros.
Ensures accuracy and quality of food and beverage orders.
Knowledge and compliance of Utah Liquor Laws.
Completes cleaning and closing responsibilities as directed by management.
Exhibits a positive attitude when speaking about guests, fellow employees and management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Correct Nightly reports. Leads nightly service team to ensure highest standards of fine dining experience.

Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.
DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following a s a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Staff is required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted if no standard uniform is required.
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle- if no standard uniform is required.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing
Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are not permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn Ops)
No large jewelry.
Hair must be clean and combed. Long hair must be worn off the face
Clean shaven or trimmed beard for men, no stubble
Pants/shirts must be free of stains, frays or holes
Pants/shirts must be clean and pressed
Employees must be showered with clean teeth, fresh breath, clean hands and nails
Tree Room server standard uniform is... khaki pants, black small buckled belt, black dress shoes, black socks, Tree Room shirt, white under shirt, and black apron.
Failure to comply with the dress code policy or enforce dress code and personal appearance policies with their staff, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two years food service experience in a full service fine dining restaurant.
Experienced in service of wine, liquors, and beer.
Prior experience with Micros, Aloha, or equivalent P.O.S. system.
Basic accounting skills.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Two to four years food service experience in a full service fine dining restaurant.
Expert knowledge and experience with wine, liquors, and beer.
Prior leadership positions within restaurant environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
