Job Title: Parking Foreman

Rate of Pay: DOE

Shift: Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Summary:

The Parking Foreman plays a key role in shaping a positive guest experience by bringing Sundance's guiding principles to life through both culture and operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a proactive approach to continuously improving parking operations. The Parking Foreman is on the ground with Parking Ambassadors and works directly with the Parking Supervisor to ensure every employee feels supported and exceptionally trained and all guests begins their Sundance journey on a high note.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain parking facilities. Ensure we have proper signage, and that all signage is maintained and in good repair.
  • Ensure Parking Lots are clean and well maintained.
  • Manage parking cones & stanchions including but not limited to ensuring cones are stored out of sight when not in use or serving a specific function.
  • Communicate regularly with the snow removal team to ensure our lots are ready for guests.
  • Assist alongside the hospitality department ensuring the success of the valet program.
  • Maximize available parking spaces during all conditions and times of day.
  • Develop schedules to meet the demands of the season, weather, and events.
  • Work directly with Parking Ambassadors to improve skills, implement training, and coach in the moment on areas to improve.
  • Assist in the tracking and reporting of parking levels each day with the Parking Supervisor for records.
  • Administer the carpooling incentive programs for employees and guests.
  • Implement and enforce the No Idling Policy for Sundance vehicles to reduce carbon footprint.
  • Communicate with the Parking Supervisor, followed by the Safety Department when issues are escalated beyond Parking's ability to resolve.
  • Report employee injuries and near misses to the Safety department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Staff Development:

  • Anticipate operational needs and manage a team of ~25 employees to ensure daily success.
  • Lead morning trainings, uniform checks, and ongoing staff development.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and adherence to service and operational standards.
  • Implement and oversee training programs, including documentation systems like Training Tracker.
  • Motivate staff by example, creating opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Build strong employee and guest relationships through exceptional service and professionalism.
  • Address complaints promptly while promoting the Sundance service standard and Guiding Lights.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors and consistently support staff leadership and performance.
  • Share Sundance's story of land preservation and environmental commitment with guests.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of ~25 Parking ambassadors. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Communicate critical information to the Parking Supervisor to ensure timely recording, resolution, or implementation.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of timekeeping systems, word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation and electronic mail. Operate 2-way radios for communication to other staff.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside winter weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions for much of the day. The employee will sometimes work with moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
