We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Administrator to help oversee the daily operations of our Nursing Services Department. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is passionate about serving seniors, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring exceptional care and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

As the Assistant Administrator, you will work closely with the Executive Director to support the clinical and operational success of the community by:

Leadership & Operations

  • Direct the daily operations of the Nursing Services Department to meet or exceed company service standards.
  • Supervise Nurses, Medication Technicians, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and retain quality team members.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and resident-focused culture among staff.
  • Support community census goals and appropriate levels of resident care.

Resident Care & Service Excellence

  • Protect resident dignity, privacy, rights, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Participate in the development and ongoing review of resident service plans.
  • Ensure service plans are properly implemented and followed by nursing staff.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with all assisted living regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and operational standards.
  • Promote a safe, compliant, and high-quality care environment.

Financial Management

  • Assist in managing departmental budgets and controlling expenses.
  • Support revenue growth initiatives while maintaining quality resident care.
  • Help develop annual operating budgets and analyze budget variances.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, Senior Living, or a related healthcare environment.
  • Experience managing healthcare operations and supervising staff.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, employees, and community leadership.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and resident care standards.
  • Genuine passion for working with and serving older adults.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience in an Assisted Living or Long-Term Care community.
  • Experience with budgeting, staffing management, and operational oversight.
  • LPN, RN, healthcare administration, or related healthcare management experience is a plus.
