Description

Lumenis is searching for a dynamic Production Manager to champion our Salt Lake City production team and help power the innovation, quality, and momentum that define who we are.

Schedule: In-office Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Production Manager directs the development, planning, and execution of activities within the production area to ensure production goals, quality standards, and cost objectives are consistently met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise production lines and coordinate the scheduling of personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, R&D, Production Planning, and Purchasing to resolve production‑related issues.
  • Perform all personnel‑related functions for production assembly staff, including interviewing, training, time tracking, and performance evaluations.
  • Exercise sound judgment in decisions affecting product quality, production output, cost efficiency, employee safety, and team morale.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to solve problems, support process improvements, and assist with new product/equipment introductions.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of continuous improvement throughout the production environment.
  • Understand and comply with manufacturing SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within medical devices, optical systems, lasers, or biotechnology.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of medical products and industry standards.
  • Understanding of ISO and FDA regulations.
  • Ability to evaluate complex, diverse challenges and select effective methods and techniques for resolution.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective collaborator who participates in group decision‑making across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate internal and external issues and make recommendations as needed.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team‑building skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
