The role:
The People Operations Specialist is a highly operational HR Generalist responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of the employee lifecycle. This role ensures the accuracy of employee data, supports onboarding and offboarding logistics, maintains compliance documentation, and serves as a primary point of contact for HR inquiries. The ideal candidate thrives in organized environments, enjoys building efficient processes, and takes pride in operational excellence behind the scenes.

What You'll Do
Create Standout Employee Experiences
- Lead onboarding from "offer accepted!" through a seamless Day 1
- Coordinate respectful, smooth offboarding
- Partner with IT to ensure equipment, access, and workspace readiness
Keep Our HRIS Clean & Accurate
- Maintain employee data accuracy within HRIS (ADP) including hires, terminations, job changes, compensation updates, and organizational changes
- Conduct routine HRIS audits to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Generate HR reports and support data requests from leadership
- Troubleshoot HR tech workflows
Support Payroll Accuracy (without running payroll)
- Update lifecycle changes and personal data (ADP)
- Ensure documentation is complete and audit‑ready
- Support benefits administration including enrollment updates, vendor coordination, and invoice reconciliation
- Assist employees with benefit questions and system navigation
Champion Compliance & Policy Excellence
- Support multistate compliance (UT, CA, etc.)
- Maintain accurate I‑9s, personnel files, and records
- Track compliance training and policy updates
Be the Friendly First Stop for HR Support
- Answer questions with clarity and warmth
- Document concerns and escalate appropriately
- Help employees navigate benefits and systems
Fuel Culture, Engagement & DEI
- Plan inclusive engagement activities for onsite + remote teams
- Create engaging internal communications/social posts
- Support recognition moments and DEI initiatives
Keep us Organized & Moving Forward
- Improve onboarding and training materials
- Maintain clean, up‑to‑date SOPs and templates
- Support HR projects (HRIS updates, benefits renewal, audits)

What You Bring
Must-Haves
- 2–4+ years in HR / People Operations
- Understanding of HR laws & compliance fundamentals
- Love for organized systems and accurate data
- Friendly, professional communication style
- Comfort with confidentiality
- HRIS + Microsoft 365 experience
Nice-to-Haves
- Benefits administration or invoice reconciliation experience
- Engagement or internal communication support
- Vendor coordination or training logistics experience
