As the Express Technician Team Lead, you will oversee daily Express Lane operations and lead a team of Express Technicians to ensure efficient workflow and top-tier service. You'll be responsible for assigning work, maintaining coverage, and supporting your team through hands-on coaching and mentorship.
You'll also:
Train and mentor Express Technicians on processes, procedures, and best practices
Manage Express Lane scheduling and coverage
Perform and oversee Multi-Point Vehicle Inspections (MPVIs)
Confidently recommend and upsell necessary maintenance and services
Lead by example in cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
Actively support the team on the shop floor to keep work moving efficiently
This is a hands-on leadership role where your experience and attitude set the tone for the entire Express Lane.
To be successful in this role, you should bring both technical expertise and leadership capability.
Required Qualifications:
Prior dealership Express Lane experience
Leadership experience (crew lead, team coordinator, or similar role)
Comfortable coaching and mentoring team members
Goal-driven and motivated by performance metrics
Willing to commit to the role for at least 2 years
Strong team player who leads from the front
Own basic tools and have tire mounting/balancing experience
