VLCM is looking for an entry level Business Development Rep who is ready to dive in and learn the market and our products to solve real needs with solutions that help clients stay with their business needs. The Business Development Representative is a high-energy individual who will contact and qualify leads into opportunities that can range from fast transaction same day closes to more complex sales and prospective customers. These opportunities will be set up for appointments to speak to an Account Executive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualify marketing leads/prospecting through email to set up sales calls for Account Executives
Serve as the initial point of contact with targeted companies
Identify and properly qualify business opportunities and qualified leads
Present business solutions to prospective customers
Keep abreast of the industry and technologies to ensure you are a trusted resource for prospects and customers
Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
Extensive follow-up and contacting
Experience as a business development rep not required
Strong consultative or process background and ability to lead people in discussions to uncover needs and prioritize requirements
Experience commanding demonstrations preferred
Self-starter with a solid work ethic
Knowledge of business organization structures, buying influences, negotiation, and purchasing processes
Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
Strong verbal communications, written and presentation skills
High School diploma or equivalent
