Description

This is a project-based employee role supporting the initial development phase of our autonomous vehicle platforms. Development phases of this nature typically span up to project completion (typically 2-4 years), though scope and duration are driven by business needs.


JOB SUMMARY

Duties include installing and repairing equipment and training customer employees on how to maintain equipment. Performs trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications. May require an associate degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires 1-3 years of related experience. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understanding of the requirements for the product being tested, including how the user will use the product.
  • Record any issues with equipment
  • Report high priority bugs and/or problems to supervisor.
  • Serve as a customer contact for problem resolution.
  • Can lift and carry test equipment on a regular basis.
  • Able to climb stairs ladders, and maneuver around vehicles.
  • Tech repair, diagnose and troubleshoot.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and eligible for a passport.
  • Must have basic or higher computer skills with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Organization and record keeping skills.
  • Experience in teamwork and individual accountability.
  • Can listen and follow instructions.
  • Good written, phone and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Some college classes, or other related quality assurance work experience.
  • Prefer some troubleshooting problem diagnosis skills and being detail oriented.
  • Prefer familiarity with general testing protocols.
  • Good analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to constantly traverse throughout an industrial or shop environment to access equipment and work areas.
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and ascend/descend to service equipment.
  • Ability to effectively complete tasks in confined spaces and environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to position and move tools, equipment, and components up to 50 lbs. on average 5 times a day.
  • Ability to effectively operate and manipulate hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
  • Ability to detect, identify, and respond to safety risks and environmental cues while performing essential functions.
