JOB SUMMARY
Provides overall leadership, strategic direction, and commercialization execution for ASI's Logistics business focused on autonomous yard truck solutions across distribution center, industrial, rail and port markets (stagged expansion across markets expected).
Serves as the enterprise business owner for ASI Logistics with end-to-end responsibility for product development, commercialization execution, deployment scale, and P&L performance during the Accelerator phase of ASI's product lifecycle. Leads the transition from pilot deployments to repeatable commercial offerings, maturing a hardened yard autonomy platform capable of supporting the majority of logistics applications.
Owns the Logistics P&L and leads cross-functional teams spanning business development, product management, engineering, and deployment operations. Recommends strategic direction, commercialization approaches, development investments and market expansion plans for executive approval while leveraging ASI shared services and enterprise best practices. Represents ASI Logistics externally with customers, partners, and industry forums to advance ASI's leadership position in autonomous logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the key leader of ASI Logistics, driving commercialization, deployment scale, and platform hardening for autonomous yard truck solutions.
- Lead the transition from pilot deployments to repeatable commercial execution, converting lighthouse customer engagements into scalable products, workflows, and customer outcomes.
- Own the Logistics P&L with accountability for revenue growth, deployment velocity, and achieving positive and expanding gross margin performance over time.
- Direct a dedicated cross-functional organization including business development, product management, engineering, and deployment operations while leveraging ASI shared services such as finance, marketing, legal, HR, and centralized platform engineering.
- Drive development of a hardened yard truck platform to cover priority logistics applications first, ultimately expanding to cover the majority of logistics applications.
- Partner with centralized platform engineering to ensure architectural alignment, efficient resource utilization, and adherence to enterprise standards.
- Design, present, and influence commercialization strategies, pricing models, and market expansion plans aligned with executive leadership direction.
- Partner closely with customers to ensure successful deployments that demonstrate measurable ROI and enable scalable adoption.
- Champion a deployment-driven learning culture where field outcomes directly inform product prioritization, CONOPs definition, roadmap decisions, and commercialization strategy.
- Represent ASI Logistics externally in customer engagements, industry events, and strategic market discussions, strengthening ASI's position as a leader in yard autonomy.
- Enhance culture with emphasis on servant leadership. Be a champion for ASI's core values: safety, simplicity, attention to detail, growth, humility, and transparency.
- Build scalable processes aligned with ASI's Accelerator model, enabling growth without duplicating enterprise infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in logistics, autonomy, robotics, industrial technology, or related B2B industries.
- Strong commercialization background with demonstrated success scaling products from pilot deployments into repeatable commercial offerings.
- Direct experience within yard truck, terminal tractor, distribution center, industrial yard, or logistics automation environments strongly preferred.
- Direct experience leading early deployments of robotics solutions with consideration for CONOPs design strongly preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and commercial functions.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across matrixed organizations.
- Experience building lighthouse customer relationships and expanding deployments into scalable programs.
- Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting strategy and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, business, or related field. MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
