JOB SUMMARY

The HRIS Specialist (Paylocity) is a hands-on systems operator and process builder responsible for optimizing and administering ASI's Paylocity platform while supporting onboarding operations.

This role is critical to ensuring HR systems are accurate, scalable, and operationally efficient. The Specialist will step in to support onboarding coordination while simultaneously designing and implementing automated, standardized workflows that reduce manual effort, improve data integrity, and enhance the new hire experience.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-and-optimize role focused on execution, accountability, and measurable improvement. This position will be project based, meaning our goal is to fix pricesses with a tune-up and streamlining of processes and workflows. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HRIS Administration (Paylocity)

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Paylocity, including system configuration, permissions, and workflows

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of all employee data within the HRIS

  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations to ensure proper system utilization

  • Configure and optimize modules including onboarding, employee records, and reporting

Onboarding Operations Support

  • Support onboarding coordination during active hiring periods

  • Manage new hire workflows, documentation, and system setup within Paylocity

  • Ensure all onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time

  • Partner with recruiting, HR, and hiring managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Evaluate current onboarding and HR workflows to identify inefficiencies

  • Design, build, and implement automated workflows within Paylocity

  • Standardize onboarding processes across teams and locations

  • Reduce manual data entry and eliminate redundant processes

  • Develop scalable systems that support high-volume hiring and growth

Reporting & Data Visibility

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards within Paylocity

  • Track onboarding progress, completion rates, and key HR metrics

  • Provide visibility to leadership on system performance and process effectiveness

  • Paylocity is configured, structured, and operating as a scalable system

  • Onboarding workflows are standardized and largely automated

  • Manual work and data errors are significantly reduced

  • New hires move through onboarding quickly, accurately, and consistently

  • Leadership has clear visibility into onboarding and HR metrics


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Proven hands-on experience administering Paylocity

  • Experience in HRIS administration, HR operations, or similar role

  • Strong understanding of onboarding workflows and HR data management

  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement automation

  • High attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Ability to operate independently and drive outcomes

Preferred

  • Experience in high-growth, high-volume hiring environments

  • Experience in staffing, manufacturing, or operations-driven organizations

  • Experience with HRIS integrations (timekeeping, payroll, ATS)

  • Background in process documentation and SOP development
