Thanksgiving Point Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm, garden and museum complex that draws upon the natural world to cultivate transformative family learning.
Responsible for general gardening, weeding, flower deadheading, planting, cultivating and topdressing of flower and shrub beds. Seasonal flower planiting and removal along with pruning of perennials and ornamental grasses , emptying garbage's and other task assigned by Garden supervisor. Install holiday lights
Must be hard working, able to work in all types of weather conditions, able to understand and carry out directions, stay on task, work productively and work without direct supervision. Must have an eye for detail with specific attention to gardening standards and lift up to 50 lbs.
This position goes from March to October with the possibility of more work through the winter months. Shifts are Monday - Friday with some Saturdays, 7:00 am 3:30 pm spring and fall moving to 6:00 am -2:30 pm during the summer months. Closed Sundays
1-2 years of gardening experience preferred but not required.
