SUMMARY

The Director of Sales Support provides direction and administrative control for the Sales Support, Events, Recognition, Incentives; works to maximize the effectiveness of these key sales support entities in order to achieve US Sales Division growth and profitability goals; evaluates organizational structure, departmental function, and personnel needs to optimize overall productivity; interfaces with the VP of Sales to ensure implementation of the Sales Division operating plan; coordinates with other Directors and Vice Presidents in the Marketing, Research and Development, Health Sciences, Legal, Finance, and International Departments for successful implementation of major projects, events, and programs; sets and administers department policies and procedures; meet with the Vice President of Sales to establish the strategic plan for the division; performs other related duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meets with the Vice President of Sales to evaluate current departmental activities, sales, and profitability performance, and upcoming projects. Discuss problem areas, plans for improvement, and necessary policy changes.
  • Oversees the activities of the Events Department.
  • Monitors planning and execution of major events including Leader's Conference, Top Achiever's Club trip, Rising Star Convention, National Convention, Regional Meetings.
  • Travels to key NSP events, training/educational/research venues, field Manager locations for project development, retail stores, etc.
  • Monitors department budgets, submit proposals and prepares written reports for top management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of business management experience
  • 5+ years in the multilevel marketing or direct sales field
  • Experience in the natural products industry highly desirable
  • Experience in retailing helpful
  • Experience with multi-level marketing including compensation plans, promotional strategies, and travel incentive programs
  • Experience with marketing communication vehicles (print, graphic, electronic imaging, video production, internet, etc.)
  • Experience with event planning and execution (staging, technical requirements, scheduling, presentations, travel planning, facilities negotiations, etc.)
