Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Systems Turnover Manager to join our Team in the Kingsport, TN area. The Systems Turnover Manager will be responsible for overseeing the process of transitioning a completed project or system from the construction phase to operational use by client. This role involves managing the documentation, inspections, and quality checks necessary for a smooth handover, ensuring all requirements are met before owner's final acceptance. The manager also leads teams and collaborates with internal team members and client (owner) team members to provide visibility of upcoming system turnovers, status of test package mechanical completion, status of quality validation documentation, and management of punch list documentation and completion of punch list items.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction completions and turnover on large-scale industrial projects or nested/resident contractor on maintenance site
  • Proficiency in completions management systems and experience with turnover documentation
  • Proven experience leading small teams in a field-based environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to the turnover process, ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Understanding of project execution procedures, workflows, and completion practices
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace

 

Functional Requirements:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive turnover plans, coordinating with different disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, etc.) to ensure smooth transition
  • Managing the preparation and handover of system dossiers, including as-built drawings, test reports, inspection records, and operation and maintenance manual documentation
  • Ensuring all documentation, inspections, and quality checks are completed in accordance with project specifications and client requirements
  • Collaborating with quality control and inspection teams to schedule and conduct turnover inspections, ensuring that all documentation, punch lists, and certification requirements are met
  • Verifying that systems, subsystems, and equipment are installed correctly and function as intended, often overseeing pre-commissioning activities
  • Utilizing completion management tools to track and report on turnover progress, generating regular progress reports
  • Leading system walkdowns and punch list management, ensuring closure of all outstanding items prior to handover to commissioning or operations
  • Providing training to work teams on turnover processes and procedures

 

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
