Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Level I

  • Perform all light duty assembly functions associated with producing complex catheters such as:
    • Braid/Coil creation/application
    • Shaft Lamination
    • Molding
    • Tipping
    • Packaging
  • Follow written work instructions and drawings.
  • Document production activities on job traveler.
  • Conduct visual inspections, per work instructions, of product for accuracy and quality.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Level II

  • Perform detailed or higher caliber assembly associated with producing custom catheters.
  • Use engineering direction to assemble R+D builds where no process exists.
  • Conduct visual inspections of catheter assembly per work instructions or engineering direction for accuracy and quality connection.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe and clean work areas. Speak up if issues are seen.
  • Follow other job-related instructions and perform other tasks as requested.
  • Able to be a trainer or teach others working as Production Operator I as well as others as needed.
  • May interface with other manufacturing, technical support, warehouse, quality control and sales personnel.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Level III

  • Perform detailed or higher caliber assembly associated with producing custom catheters which includes R+D engineering builds.
  • Create processes/techniques to assemble R+D builds where none exist.
  • Conduct visual inspections of catheter specifications per print/specifications or engineering notes for accuracy and quality connection.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe and clean work areas. Help identify opportunities for improvements in this area.
  • Follow other job-related instructions and perform other tasks as requested.
  • Able to be a trainer or teach others working as Production Operator I and Production Operator II as well as others as needed.
  • Work to develop leadership skills to reach a Lead, Technician or Supervisory position.
  • May interface or present with other manufacturing, technical support, warehouse, quality control and sales personnel.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality documents operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • Has the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • Works in moderate noise levels.
  • Works in a clean environment with minimal exposure to fumes and dust.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED/experience.
  • Previous catheter assembly is preferred but not required.
