Job Title: Activity Desk/Cultural Activity Director (Full-Time)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Desk/Cultural Activity Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing top-notch guest service. As the Activity Desk/Cultural Activity Director, you will oversee the front desk staff at the Activity Desk Station and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Also will be responsible for the bi-monthly Pop Up Makeke (Market Place) and Cultural Talk Story Sessions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage front desk staff at the Activity Desk Station
  • Coordinate with Lead Front Desk Supervisor to ensure staff are trained and able to perform their duties
  • Maintain a safe and clean leisure environment for hotel guests in activity areas such as the Pool Deck, Courtyard, and various sports courts
  • Work with the GM and AGM to develop revenue-generating activities and partnerships with local vendors
  • Implement an incentive plan to exceed revenue goals set by the hotel budget
  • Provide weekly reports on promotions and activities at the Activity Desk
  • Train staff to book, collect payments, and post tours and activities in the hotel system
  • Ensure proper scheduling and training of Activity Desk employees
  • Enforce procedures and rules for pool deck and activity areas
  • Assist with setup and close down of the Activity Desk as needed
  • Maintain stock of pool towels and order replacements as necessary
  • Perform other duties as directed by GM/AGM
  • Organizes bi-monthly popup makeke (market) and Cultural Talk Story sessions
  • Works closely with the Cultural specialist Aunty Kela on growing the cultural activities for our guest

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of Oahu's North Shore and local attractions and local community members
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Understanding of revenue recording and accounting
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to ensure coverage at the Activity Desk
