What You'll Do
As our Transportation Practice Leader - Construction Management, you will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for transportation construction management large-complex projects including highways, bridges, roadway improvements, interchanges, and transit-related infrastructure regional public agencies.
- Practice Leadership & Strategic Growth: Help guide the growth and development of the transportation construction management practice, supporting business development efforts, mentoring staff, and strengthening client relationships with agencies such as Caltrans, counties, and local municipalities.
- Construction Leadership & Owner Representation: Serve as the senior owner representative for complex transportation infrastructure projects, providing oversight of construction activities and ensuring work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Project Delivery & Performance Oversight: Monitor contractor performance, construction progress, and project milestones to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with agency standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Issue Resolution: Collaborate with public agency clients, designers, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders to proactively resolve construction challenges and maintain project momentum.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to resident engineers, inspectors, and construction management staff, helping build a strong, high-performing transportation CM team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 15+ years of experience leading large-complex projects in transportation infrastructure construction management
- Active California Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Strong understanding of Caltrans and local agency construction standards
- Demonstrated success managing complex transportation infrastructure programs and client relationships
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $185,000 - $220,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
