About being our Assistant Project Manager - Right of Way

As our Assistant Project Manager - Right-of-Way, you will support the delivery of right-of-way acquisition and utility coordination projects for major transportation and infrastructure clients throughout California. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with experienced project managers and technical experts on complex public agency projects, including rail and utility programs.

Responsibility Highlights for our Assistant Project Manager - Right of Way

  • Assist in managing right-of-way projects, including property acquisition, relocation assistance, utility coordination, and property management.
  • Support project budgeting, scheduling, and task tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with public agencies, property owners, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate project communication and documentation.
  • Prepare and review right of way documents such as plats, legal descriptions, offer packages, and acquisition reports.
  • Maintain accurate project files and databases in accordance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and scope development for new projects.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA).
  • Provide administrative and technical support during property negotiations, appraisals, and escrow closings.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery, quality, and client service.

Minimum Qualifications to be our Assistant Project Manager - Right of Way

  • Active California Department of Real Estate Salesperson License
  • 3+ years of experience in right-of-way acquisition, project coordination, or related field (public agency experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of right-of-way processes, including appraisal, acquisition, relocation, and utility coordination
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to project sites, as needed

Preferred Qualifications for our Assistant Project Manager - Right of Way

  • SR/WA or RWA certification through the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA)
  • California Licensed Notary
  • Familiarity with property acquisition regulations and federal funding requirements
