CMT Technical Services is a growing consulting firm and has an immediate opening for an Corporate Assistant Controller who will report to the Corporate Controller. Job duties will include financial analysis, managing AP and AR teams, preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, helping with the preparation of the monthly financial statement package, and providing support for the annual audit. CMT is a growing company backed by private equity and as we continue to acquire companies, this position will assist with the due diligence for potential acquisitions and the purchase accounting once acquisitions are finalized. We are looking for someone that can multi-task, has good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, and has public accounting experience specifically as an auditor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with M&A due diligence and accounting.
• Financial analysis.
• Manage the accounts payable team.
• Manage the accounts receivable collection team.
• Reconcile accounts as part of month-end close.
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement package.
• Assist with annual audit.
• Assist in the research of budget to actual variances.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Team player

Experience:

• 2-3 years of public accounting audit experience
