Job Title: Branch Manager-In-Store
Location: South Jordan (in-store location Harmons)
Status: Full-Time (40 hours a week, some Saturdays required)
Reports to: Regional Branch Manager – South
Position Purpose
In this role, you will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality member service at the branch. You will play a pivotal role in coaching and mentoring staff, guiding them to achieve goals and enhance their skills. Upholding and implementing established policies and procedures is essential to safeguard Granite Credit Union and its members. Your effective communication will be crucial in building strong relationships with our diverse community and ensuring an outstanding member experience.
Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities

- Responsible for achieving branch growth goals in loans, new accounts, insurance sales and overall service solutions.
- Proven ability to lead a team in achieving goals and providing outstanding member service.
- Mentor and coach employees monthly to achieve goals and develop skills to contribute to their success and the success of the credit union.
- Establish schedules, procedures, and branch policies to ensure outstanding member service and compliance with regulatory and credit union policy.
- Ability to develop, train and engage employees.
- Ability to perform teller, new account, and lending operations.
- Assist other employees in the branch by answering questions, solving problems, and helping with complex work-related matters.
- Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists MSRs in resolving balancing problems.
- Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of the day.
- Professionally express oneself through written and oral communication.
- Conducts regular department meetings, at least monthly.
- Responsible for conducting coaching sessions with each employee. Formulates and implements corrective action as needed. Recommends promotions for employees as appropriate.
- Approves all paid leave, vacation leave, overtime, and time records for branch employees.
- Ensures branch personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Actively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept abreast of all products and services. Conducts security training.
- Ensures members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles members' complaints. Ensures members are informed of Company services and policies. Counsels members regarding their financial needs and services requested.
- Prepare assigned month-end management reports which apprise executive management of the status of branch activities.
- Primary Security Officer for the branch. Conducts required security meetings with staff to ensure compliance. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
- Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries.
- Processing loans and ensures that branch achieves assigned loan production goal.
- Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
- Is responsible for maintaining office building, grounds, equipment and fixtures of the branch.
- Handle Glia calls and live chats to assist members with inquiries
- Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Maintain the security of the work area and keep it organized and neat in appearance.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow employees, members, management staff, board members, and outside vendors.
- Basic computer operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Promote a professional appearance and attitude.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Experience
At least six months of supervisory experience preferred.
At least one year of Branch operations experience preferred.
At least six months of lending experience preferred.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional coursework in business or finance preferred.
