ASI is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Commercial & Business Development Analyst to support our go-to-market execution across autonomy solutions for construction, industrial, logistics, and other markets. This role is essential in converting inbound interest into actionable opportunities, supporting business case development, and enabling strategic decisions through robust financial and market analysis.

The ideal candidate has a blend of commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills. They will work closely with market-facing business development leads, finance, and technical teams to ensure commercial alignment across engagements.


Key Responsibilities


Lead Qualification & Proposal Development

· Act as the first commercial point-of-contact for inbound leads generated through marketing channels.

· Evaluate leads for fit based on market priority, solution applicability, and strategic alignment.

· Develop high-quality written proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs across target sectors.

· Maintain and update proposal templates, pricing configurations, and customer-facing materials.


Market & ROI Analysis

· Partner with market-focused Business Development (BD) Managers to gather data on customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

· Analyze market intelligence to identify high-ROI target segments and geographies.

· Develop dashboards, reports, and insights to inform BD targeting and prioritization.


TCO Modeling & Value Proposition Development

· Build and refine Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models tailored to different verticals and deployment scenarios.

· Quantify cost savings, productivity gains, and other value drivers for prospective customers.

· Collaborate with BD and Product Teams to translate value metrics into compelling business cases.


Commercial Structuring

· Support structuring and negotiation of commercial terms for both capital equipment sales and "as-a-service" subscription models.

· Draft and maintain standard commercial templates, including pricing structures, payment terms, and contract frameworks.

· Assist in sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to support pricing and risk management decisions.


BD Operations & Administrative Support

· Maintain CRM and sales tracking tools, ensuring opportunity pipeline is up-to-date and accurate.

· Support preparation of executive-level briefings, internal business cases, and customer presentations.

· Assist with scheduling, logistics, and documentation for business development meetings and events.


Qualifications

· 3-5 years of experience in business development, commercial operations, finance, or strategy roles within B2B, industrial, or technology sectors.

· Strong written communication skills, particularly in proposal and RFP response writing.

· Demonstrated experience building financial models and market analyses.

· Knowledge of commercial models (capital sales vs. as-a-service) and contract basics.

· Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, MS Dynamics).

· Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field; MBA a plus.
