Senior Financial Analyst

In this role, you will provide financial and analytical support to corporate executives, sales, marketing, operations, and business unit executives, requiring excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to think fluidly during presentations and conversations. In addition, the position requires in-depth knowledge of business and sales dynamics, analytical modeling skills, and experience with business intelligence.

Responsibilities:

Working in tandem with Finance, Sales, and Operations the successful candidate will be responsible for (1) providing data analytics, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for key business units (2) assisting with presentations for the Board of Directors, monthly and quarterly business reviews, along with scorecard and KPI tracking and analysis, (3) building and maintaining models and analysis to assess business strategies, quantify risks and opportunities, and outline critical initiatives, (4) providing insights, analysis, and recommendations for top management (5) partnering with the business intelligence team to create and maintain business reporting, variance analysis, and drive increased transparency, ownership, accountability.

  • Assists with the company's strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools and capabilities, ensuring transparency and alignment around results, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provides insightful and actionable reporting, recommendations, and action plans for driving sales and profitability.
  • Monitors performance against business plans to achieve overall financial and growth objectives.
  • Anticipates and identifies business opportunities & challenges and comes up with actionable insights.
  • Contributes to overall business strategy by developing powerful financial models that add focus to the finance lens for the company.
  • Evaluates total company performance and provide insights as to the impact of the financial situation on future performance.
  • Improves financial processes and capabilities to enable sound business and financial decisions and ensure that financial goals and growth objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Builds insightful and timely reporting regarding business results, key initiatives, and KPIs.
  • Performs special projects, supports new product introductions, and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or similar business discipline with a minimum of 2+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA or CFA preferred.
  • E-commerce and Marketing analytics experience preferred.
  • SQL experience helpful.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally.
  • Ability to utilize financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses and identify the implications for potential strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • A high degree of organizational skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
  • Experience with Power BI, data visualization, DCF modeling, statistical analysis, break-even analysis, etc., desired.
