ATL Technology, a global medical contract manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced and driven accounting and finance professional to support our Global Engineering team. This role will be heavily involved in creating and governing financial processes related to bringing and executing new business initiatives at ATL. This role will be responsible for global coordination of internal and external financial transactions associated with engineering efforts in a vertically integrated environment. As the Sr Accounting Analyst supporting the Engineering team, you will help drive the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes in coordination with the engineering department you support. You will help ensure Engineering financial statement impact is recorded in accordance with GAAP and provide monthly analysis to management related to results.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with VP of Engineering and Global Engineering teams to create streamlined financial processes that ensure appropriate revenue and cost recognition.
• Review and interpret monthly engineering impact to ATL's financial statements, including gross margin and engineering department spend.
• Understand current use, and lead evolution of ATL's ERP, project tracking and reporting systems to create efficiency and accuracy in our Engineering financial processes (Infor, workfront, PowerBI).
• Review engineering service contracts to determine appropriate accounting, cost tracking, and asset ownership.
• Help coordinate Engineering related capex across multiple sites to ensure proper capitalization of ATL owned capex or tracking of customer owned and reimbursed capex.
• Lead and drive change through monthly review meetings with engineering team leadership, including budget vs actual, resource allocation and utilization, and program margin reviews.
• Prepare engineering budgets and forecasts in coordination with stakeholders.
• Support audit requirements related to engineering results and processes.
• Assistance with various other finance and accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing company
• Experience with project accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and cost tracking
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP)
• Demonstrated ability to be effective and efficient in a high-demand environment
• Business partner mindset demonstrated through building relationships across all levels of the company and providing exceptional service to stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively with enterprise systems and tools. ATL currently utilizes Infor (ERP), OneStream (consolidation), and Power BI (analytics)
