Global Program Manager

The Global Program Manager (GPM) will be responsible for managing overall program cost, product cost, schedule performance, including risk and opportunity management, and all other customer and internal commitments. The GPM will oversee global sites' progress and serve as the main point of contact (POC) for customer interactions during the development process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Portfolio Leadership: Oversee a portfolio of global programs, ensuring alignment with company strategy, business objectives, and customer needs.

· Customer Engagement: Act as the senior point of contact for customers during development; build strong partnerships and lead high-level discussions on program performance, risks, and opportunities.

· Program Oversight: Provide strategic direction to Global Program Managers and site-level project managers to ensure deliverables, dependencies, and milestones are achieved across regions.

· Accountability & Governance: Establish program cadence, global reporting, and review mechanisms to ensure transparency, accountability, and proactive decision-making.

· Risk & Opportunity Management: Lead the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks and opportunities at the portfolio level, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely resolution.

· Business Development Support: Partner with Site Leaders in proposal preparation, program strategy, estimates, and customer presentations to secure and expand business opportunities.

· Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and support Global Program Managers to strengthen capabilities, drive consistency, and ensure best practices are applied across programs.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Influence and partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality functions to drive seamless execution of development programs.

· Travel: Travel up to 25% of time (domestic and international).

· Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule as global programs will require early morning or evening meetings with international teams.

· Other Duties: Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience.

· Strong track record in program or portfolio management within the medical device industry, with deep knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA QSR 820.

· Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional teams on large, complex programs from development through commercialization.

· Experience managing multi-site programs and portfolios with significant customer-facing responsibility.

· Ability to influence and lead at senior levels, proactively reviewing program progress, course-correcting teams, and driving issues to closure.

· Strong business and financial acumen; ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and strategic trade-offs across programs.

· Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills; proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and executives.

· PMP certification preferred

· Travel up to 25% of the time (Both domestic and international)
