As a Business Development Manager, you will own and execute the go-to-market strategy for autonomous agriculture solutions. This role requires a proven business builder with deep agricultural industry knowledge, established relationships, and credibility within the agriculture vertical.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand ASI's presence in agricultural autonomy and precision farming technology.
Identify and secure strategic partnerships with growers, farm operators, agricultural contractors, equipment dealers, OEMs, and ag-tech integrators.
Maintain deep understanding of customer needs, labor challenges, operational constraints, and technical requirements in agricultural environments.
Manage the complete sales cycle-from lead generation to contract closure-using ASI's CRM tools.
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline while ensuring consistent deal flow and forecast accuracy.
Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to align campaigns, collateral, and demos with customer needs and market trends.
Deliver compelling, ROI-focused presentations tailored to executive and technical stakeholders.
Foster and manage long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure continued customer success and loyalty.
Represent ASI at trade shows, conferences, and technical demos to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to relay market feedback and help shape product strategy.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
7+ years of experience in agricultural equipment sales, ag-tech, farm management solutions, or precision agriculture.
Proven track record of developing new business, closing complex deals, and managing strategic accounts.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both executive and technical audiences.
Demonstrated success in negotiation, deal structuring, and long-term relationship building.
Experience working in dynamic, cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.
Familiarity with robotics, autonomy, or agriculture technology is strongly preferred.
Skilled in using CRM platforms for sales tracking, pipeline management, and reporting.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prioritizing effectively across multiple initiatives.
Willingness to travel up to 50% for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.
